Prompt: How did the reading make you feel? Why?
So far from what I've read, I've felt really happy and excited for the character Mallory. I'm glad that she dumped her boyfriend, and decided to give up on technology. Since she's now going vintage I can't help but be excited. I think I've already said this but I love the 60's and I would go vintage if I had the chance to. Mallory right now is trying to set up an old fashioned dinner party, and I'm really interested in seeing how it's going to go, and who she's planning to invite. I personally, would like to go to an old fashioned dinner party. Not only that but there are many appealing things on the list that I'm waiting for Mallory to start.
Unfortunately, one of the things in the list is to "find a steady" which basically means that Mallory the main character has to find a steady boyfriend which is hard for her considering that she just got out of a relationship. Jeremy, her ex boyfriend was a jerk from what I knew about him, and I think moving on will be better for Mallory. I'm really eager to find out who the "steady" would be. Surely, if Mallory is determined to accomplish the list she would have to find a steady who is going to be better than Jeremy.
From what I've been reading, I really liked this book. I enjoy how it's different from other books, and the main character's personality. I feel as though we have a lot of common, and I connect to her in a way. It's interesting how she has to face a lot of challenges accomplishing these things her grandmother wanted to accomplish. This story to me feels as though it can happen to someone in real life. Which I really find cool, because I would like to do something like that.

Nice blog this week! Tell me, If you had the chance to go vintage, what would be the reason behind it?
ReplyDeleteGreat blog this week! I like how you said that you like the book because it's different from other books. I would probably not be as interested in the book, but how are you liking it? Overall, awesome blog!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a very unique book. I didn't think that the main character would literally "go vintage." That's really cool. Do you think that you would ever be able to go vintage and give up technology? (and give up watching Teen Wolf!?) I can't even go a while without technology but I think this is pretty rad that she's doing this.
