Prompt: What has been the most interesting part of your reading?
Pages Read: 44-162
If you have read my last post, or read the book "The Maze Runner" you would understand what I'm going to talk about, and if you haven't then I suggest you get this book. It's a really good book, and it's filled with action, humor, and suspense. In fact, I don't really think I could pick the most interesting part that's happened. I mean there are a lot of interesting things that have happened from what I have read. But I will pick a part, and that would be when Thomas enters the maze.
At first two of the characters, Alby and Minho go out in the maze to see a dead griever. When there are gone for longer than they were supposed to Newt, and Thomas get worried. Hours pass by, and it's finally dark. But when it gets dark the so-called doors are scheduled to close for the night. The gladers believe that if anyone doesn't return before the doors close, you're automatically dead in the maze.Which is why Newt is so worried. However, as the doors are about to close Thomas spots movement. That movement would belong to Alby, and Minho. But, unfortunately Alby is carried by Minho because he was hurt. So when Thomas sees them however, Minho stops realizing that he can't make it through the doors. Which then Thomas decides to enter the maze. Newt screams at Thomas to not enter the maze, but that doesn't stop him.
Finally when Thomas enters, the doors close. Minho yells at him for being stupid to enter the maze, since they were all going to be killed anyway. However, Thomas felt as though he was trying to help. But as the night came they heard strange, frightening noises. Those noises would belong to the grievers. Minho then decides to split up, and leave helpless Alby by the doors. Thomas is then shocked by this, but can't be shocked for long. He then decides to help Alby, and climb up the wall using vines. This is a really tough tax for him, but Thomas stays strong, fearless, and positive unlike Minho. Later on, he meets Minho, and both defeat the grievers, and surviving the maze realizing they're the only ones to do so. Now as morning came everyone is shock to see them still living, however Thomas did break the number one rule which was to never enter the maze, especially at night. So I'll leave you to this. Will Thomas be punished for breaking that rule? Will be be respected for surviving the maze? Is Alby still alive?
