Prompt: Do you like what you’re reading? Why or why not?
Pages Read: 0-134
I just started reading this story a few days ago and to be honest it's confusing at the moment. I think it's mostly confusing because the time takes place in New York City, 1882. The words they use are really different and the characters use these words for different meanings than what we use them for. This book is about how the main character Natalie Stewart finds a painting of the character British Lord Denbury. Supposably, from her eyes the painting's details keeps changing catching Natalie's attention wondering what's going on.
From my opinion, I don't really like the story so far because I don't quite understand it no matter how many times I read it. This story involves dark magic and such which is not what I usually read. In the story supposably his possesed body is commiting unspeakable crimes in the city slums. This of coarse makes no sense to me, but I keep reading it to see if it will later exaplain why and what is exactly going in the story. Since I'm still in the middle nothing much has happened because there is much to go since there are 300 pages.
However, I will still continue reading this because in a way it's still interesting and maybe I will learn to like and undersatand it. I believe that you shouldn't just give up on a book like that which is why I am still going to read it. Although it is different than many other stories I've read it's good to read something different, especially if it takes place from an older time. It's really great to try something new.
