The Fault In Our Stars: Week of 2/24/14 *SPOILER ALERT*

Prompt: What three songs would you include? Write an explaination for each song: why
would you include it, how does the song connect to events.

Pages Read: 227-270

Give me love Ed Sheeran- I chose this song because I think it represents a lot in the book. When Augustus first told Hazel he loved her she didn't exactly love him back or at least admitted it. I felt as though Augustus was sad, and depressed inside but didn't show it. It's usually the ones who are funny, and loud who have hidden emotions inside. This song made me think of Augustus and how he felt when he told Hazel he loved her.

Fall for you Secondhand Serenade- With this song I pictured many events in the story. But I chose this song that goes when Augustus and Hazel went to Amsterdam together. It was when Hazel and Augustus shared their very first kisses together and when Hazel told him she loved him. They had a date, and was very magical for them. It was as if they fell for each over again like when they first met. <3

Almost Lover A Fine Frenzy-This song really gets to me, it actually makes me cry. So I couldn't help but picture an event that made me cry that goes with this song. *Spoiler Alert* When Augustus died it made me really tear up and when I heard this song again I pictured Hazel and how she felt when this happened. I think that deep inside this is how Hazel felt. It's one of the saddest moments in the book that I couldn't take.

~P.S These are all some of my favorite songs, I really hope you like and enjoy them :) ~

  2. I love how you included Give Me Love with these songs, especially for the reason you did. I like how when you chose these songs you thought of how the characters felt and not your own feelings, which to me it pretty selfless. You chose great songs for this! Great blog!
