A character I would like to meet is actually the main character of this humorous book. Her name is Nikki Maxwell. She seems like a very interesting person to me although she's a dork. I feel as though Nikki, and I would be great friends. In fact, I'm kind of a dork myself. Nikki is funny, outgoing, nerdy person who I would really like to me. To me those are great qualities ! It's actually really surprising that Nikki goes through a lot, and busy most of the time, however still manages to get things done. Yea, Nikki may have some troubles telling people off like the popular girl MacKenzie. But soon enough I sure she will. Nikki is the type of person who makes people feel better, and laugh which is just what people need. In fact, it really surprises me that Nikki doesn't have a lot of friends! The main character Nikki is not afraid to be herself which is why I would love to meet her.
I would also like to meet this character because we have a lot in common. She's thirteen and in middle school, and I am as well which makes me want to meet her more. I feel as though I know how she feels. Plus it would be pretty cool meeting someone you age, and someone you can connect with. Nikki goes through a lot of embarrassing moments and so do I. She goes through arguments with her parents, friends, and has trouble with Ms. MacKenzie but she still manages to be herself, and do the things she wants to do. If I was her I would be stressed out and would've gave up right then and there but she didn't. So that makes her a great, brave girl who is determined not to give up no matter what.
To me, I wouldn't just want to meet a character. I would like to get to know them more and become friends with one another. There's only so much in a book you could learn about the character and how they are. For so many reasons, I connect with Nikki and her dorky self but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to meet any other characters. Besides Nikki, I would like to meet Brandon her crush. I feel as though Brandon isn't in the story as much, and I would like to know more about him and if he like Nikki's back. I mean, dorks can have a happy ending to right?

I like how you put more than 1 visual picture in your blog this week. I know that you fully understand the book because you mention that your life is similar to the character's life. Another great thing is that it seem that you included more than one prompt in your blog. You not only told us why you want to meet the character but you also described the character's feelings. Thanks for your Opinion.

ReplyDeleteI've read the books before and I completely understand where you're coming from! Nikki's great and i feel like she embody's many girls our age. Nikki and her little sisters relationship kinda reminds me of you and your little sister's relationship. I love how you included parts from the book! Great blog!
